On my 14th birthday my mom took me shopping for something pretty special. My purity ring. Then we ate dinner together and talked about the choice I was making. Saving yourself until marriage isn't just about not doing certain things. It means honoring your future spouse in a few ways and one of the most important ones is modesty. Modesty is a big part of purity, they go hand in hand. When I first got my purity ring and chose that lifestyle I didn't realize that but luckily my mom did. She approached modesty in a fun way and we both read several books on it and listened to a lot of James Dobson tapes and talked about it a lot. Those things together don't make me in any way an expert on modesty but I'm 18 now and I've kept my values the same the past 4 years so I do have a little bit of experience. I've struggled during that time with purity and all that it in tails including modesty and I know other girls who have made the same commitments I have and they would all tell you the same thing. Modesty doesn't mean turtle necks and denim jumpers. You can be super cute and follow all of the latest trends and still be modest and that's what I'm here to prove. So stayed tuned because my first outfit post is coming up as well as some of my test I do when I'm questioning my outfit choice. Bottom line= I love clothes,I love dressing cute and I'm modest and that can all go together just fine :)
