My First Outfit Post

So this has taken me slightly longer than I thought to set this blog up and get confident enough to post something. I'm still not swooning for this background or set up at all for this blog but I'll work on that soon. Ok maybe not soon since I start an internship at CVHOP Monday that is going to take all of my time. Anyways let's get onto to the outfit shall we?
These photos are not posed at all. Infact these are from my annual Christmas party with my best friends. This unfortunately is my only photo where  you can see my whole outfit.
I got this dress this Summer on vacation and immidiatly it had some severe modesty issues but I liked it and I have a rule. Unless it's a bikini you can probly make anything modest. My wheels started turning and here's what I came up with for this dress. I threw on a cream crew neck long sleeve underneath and BINGO! Modest. Well I may be having issues with the length so next time I wear it a pair of tights will most likely be used.
After the modesty stuff was taken care of I got to the fun stuff. I put on my favorite feather earrings and some gold bracelets and very soon this outfit was coming along. Then I was pondering my shoe choice. See most of my friends were wearing heels and stuff but really heels are not me at all. I wore my oxfords and was comfy all night long. My (fake) leather jacket was the perfect conclusion and I was swooning hard core for this outfit.
I have a lot more photos of this outfit but it's bugging me that I can't get them bigger. Anyways so this outfit posting is going to take a while to get used  to. I hope you guys are patient. Oh and I'm wearing this dress again soon but as a shirt so stayed tuned! :)

On my 14th birthday my mom took me shopping for something pretty special. My purity ring. Then we ate dinner together and talked about the choice I was making. Saving yourself until marriage isn't just about not doing certain things. It means honoring your future spouse in a few ways and one of the most important ones is modesty. Modesty is a big part of purity, they go hand in hand. When I first got my purity ring and chose that lifestyle I didn't realize that but luckily my mom did. She approached modesty in a fun way and we both read several books on it and listened to a lot of James Dobson tapes and talked about it a lot. Those things together don't make me in any way an expert on modesty but I'm 18 now and I've kept my values the same the past 4 years so I do have a little bit of experience. I've struggled during that time with purity and all that it in tails including modesty and I know other girls who have made the same commitments I have and they would all tell you the same thing. Modesty doesn't mean turtle necks and denim jumpers. You can be super cute and follow all of the latest trends and still be modest and that's what I'm here to prove. So stayed tuned because my first outfit post is coming up as well as some of my test I do when I'm questioning my outfit choice. Bottom line= I love clothes,I love dressing cute and I'm modest and that can all go together just fine :)
